1) Stunningly beautiful places with perfect weather! Good balance of countryside and old city walking. 2) The Trip App was incredible!!! 5 stars! Loved the write ups on each location. The links to all restaurants, hotels, attractions, tickets! The GPS app also worked. 3) PERFECTLY located hotels and rooms with two beds and thoughtful staff! Loved being right in the old towns with amazing views. I did not mind carrying bags up or down in order to have the locations but much appreciated when we did have help with this 4) Breakfast being included with the rooms (even though there was a mix up the first morning). I don't like to have to plan breakfast spots and the buffets were incredible. 5) The kindness and promptness of the drivers, Nice transport vehicles and easy drop off and pick up points. Plus help with our bags. 6) The Walking Holidays Croatia team was helpful and easy to work with. We appreciate all they did to customize out trip.
Solid experience booking Haute Route through H2H Hiking. They were responsive whenever I ran into small hiccups during the trip and were able to resolve the issue very quickly. Provided great recommendations and daily briefs for each day's hike. Definitely recommend H2H Switzerland.

Walking in the Bernese Oberland felt like a dream. The trails were incredibly scenic, with views of snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, and picturesque Swiss villages. The accommodations were comfortable and ideally located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Lan was wonderful in helping me plan my days and ensuring I had everything I needed. Switzerland’s natural beauty is unmatched, and this trip was the perfect way to experience it on foot.
My walking holiday in Chamonix and the French Alps was unforgettable. Each day brought stunning views of towering peaks, alpine meadows, and glacial streams. The routes were well-marked and varied in difficulty, making it easy to tailor the days to my pace. The accommodations were charming and perfectly situated for breathtaking morning views. Walking the GR10 was an incredible way to experience the Pyrenees. Each day brought something different—lush valleys, high mountain passes, and charming villages. The huts provided a warm bed, great meals, and a chance to meet fellow hikers. The clear itinerary and support from Hut to Hut Hiking Europe made it easy to focus on enjoying the trail. I’d recommend this hike to anyone looking for a multi-day trek with lots of variety.
The Kesch Trek in Switzerland was everything I hoped for and more. The trails were well-marked and took me through breathtaking alpine scenery, from wildflower meadows to towering glaciers. The huts were some of the best I’ve stayed in—comfortable, welcoming, and serving delicious food. Samo’s tips about the region helped me get the most out of every day. This was a perfect way to explore the Swiss Alps, and I can’t wait to plan my next hut-to-hut adventure!
Exploring Madeira on foot was an incredible adventure. The trails offered a variety of experiences, from dramatic cliffside paths to lush levadas (irrigation channels) winding through the forests. The island’s unique landscapes were unlike anything I’ve seen before. Samo was fantastic, providing clear guidance and tips on which trails to prioritize based on my interests. The accommodations were excellent, and the local cuisine was a delightful bonus. This walking holiday introduced me to the wonders of Madeira, and I’ll definitely be back!
Overall the trip was well organized. There was a bit of confusion at the beginning with respect to hotel reservations and luggage transfer but Anja was very helpful in getting details sorted and responding promptly to any questions and concerns. We were travelling in the off season and in some small towns there were no or limited restaurants and food options. Anja helped us figure out GPS links and maps for our hikes. We very much appreciated all her efforts. The hikes were beautiful and we would book with Anja again.
We had the most amazing experience hiking the Via Alpina Bear Trek organized by Daja!! It’s always nerve wrecking trusting an organization to plan and prepare all parts of a trip like this but it worked out perfectly and we had no issues. The hiking, the hotels & recommendations, and the service by Daja and the Hut to Hut Hiking team was great from the booking to actual travel experience! Would highly recommended, looking forward to planning more trips with them in the future.
